Every year we at Dolci Gelati support the Georgetown Jingle, an annual event and charity created in 2006 by the Four Seasons Hotel and members of the Washington design community to raise critical revenue for the Pediatric Hematology, Oncology, Blood and Marrow Transplantation Program at Georgetown University Hospital. In the past 6 years we have donated our time and gelato for this family holiday event which takes place in December. This year for #GivingTuesday, we will pre-empt our involvement to not only give more but to also give earlier in order to raise more money and bring more awareness to the cause.
As a small business we believe it is our civic duty to give back to the community in any way we can as every little bit makes a difference. This year for #GivingTuesday, we plan to leverage our small business in a big way! On December 3, Dolci Gelati Café Takoma Park will give 20% of its sales towards The Millennial Action Project, an organization created to advance the ideas and values of millennial in order to help foster post partisan policy making and political collaboration.
On the evening of December 3, we will host as well as donate gelato and desserts for a fundraiser at the St. Regis in Washington DC for Creative Minds International Public Charter School, whose mission is fostering childhood education in innovative and highly enriching ways. Tickets can be purchased here.
